We regret to inform you that SummerFest Beer, Wine & Art Festival benefiting the Alzheimer's Association and Sacramento Memory Walk on Saturday, August 29, 2009 has been canceled due to lack of sponsorship.
Talks with many sponsors revealed a reluctance to commit for 2009 – or to commit to the level they have been giving due to economic hardships. It's a tough year for everyone, no matter what business you are in! We have worked long and hard on SummerFest, but just didn't have a choice but to cancel and look toward 2010.
SummerFest is not gone...we will be back, and we hope you will join us!

The 2nd Annual SummerFest Beer, Wine & Art Festival

SummerFest Beer, Wine & Art Festival is back for it’s Second Annual fundraising event benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association’s Sacramento Memory Walk. Memory Walk is the Alzheimer’s Association’s national, annual, signature fundraising event, raising more than $220 million since 1989 for research, programs and services.
SummerFest will feature local Breweries, Wineries, Restaurants, Artists, as well as Live Music. Located along the scenic Sacramento river in Miller Park on Saturday, August 29th, 2009, this event will bring our community together for a beautiful summer afternoon and a worthy cause! The SummerFest Silent Art Auction will feature many of Sacramento’s local artists, as well as items such as weekend getaways, limousine packages, signed collectors items, and more!
SummerFest is a powerful way to demonstrate our commitment to this increasing national and local issue, which currently affects over 220,000 Northern Californians with AD, their caregivers and loved ones.
Last year the first annual SummerFest raised nearly $9,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association’s Sacramento Memory Walk and more importantly helped create “top-of-mind” awareness of AD. The 2009 SummerFest goal is to raise $20,000 for Sacramento Memory Walk.
With the uncertainties of today’s economy and an ever-growing demand for dementia related services we need your help now more than ever. We sincerely hope that you will join us for SummerFest 2009.
